Redstone is excited to announce several significant promotions as its leadership continues to expand. Recognizing their outstanding client leadership, firm stewardship, and innovation in the social sector, Redstone leaders Kathy Francis and Bob Shaver are Redstone’s newest Directors, while Sam Greenberg became a Principal.
“First and foremost, I am excited for Kathy and Bob to join the director group because of their deep intelligence in the social sector, as well as their invaluable influence within the firm,” remarks Redstone Managing Director, Nathan Huttner. “Now in our 20th year of creating impact, we have a lot to celebrate.”
Kathy Francis – Galvanizing equitable change
Kathy Francis is recognized as a visionary thinker who brings a data-driven and collaborative approach to every project. As the driving force behind Redstone’s Inclusive Impact practice, Kathy partners with clients to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in their strategy development and in how they use data to learn and evolve that strategy over time. Kathy applies this inclusive lens to all Redstone sectors, from education to water management.
Redstone Director Jason Blau remarks, “I have been fortunate to work with and learn from Kathy across several water data projects. Her vision and execution have led the way in propelling data-driven water management solutions.”
An influential leader at Redstone since 2014, Kathy has been a guiding force for cultural and institutional changes at the firm. “Kathy is an incredibly generous mentor who takes great care in helping her teams grow professionally,” notes Redstone Manager Chaya Jones. “She centers joy in our work, celebrating big and small wins with her teams.” Redstone colleague Diane Nemchak comments, “Kathy is an empathetic and thoughtful leader. I’m often amazed at her expertise and approach to complex brainstorming, balancing data and statistics with the psychology of human nature to make the world a better place.”
Bob Shaver – Practical innovation to drive human-centered outcomes
A skilled strategist and operational leader, Bob Shaver has partnered with clients and colleagues to launch and shape multiple initiatives since joining the firm as a Project Manager in 2016. A leader of the firm’s significant Human Services practice, Bob brings years of experience tackling strategic challenges in food insecurity and homeless services, as well as guiding clients through early-stage execution of complex collaborative initiatives and new venture formation.
Internally, Bob has helped shape Redstone’s strategic direction, build its capabilities, and expand its platform for impact. Bob leads Redstone communications and its aligned nonprofit, Convergent Impact, which provides intensive support to incubate ambitious impact initiatives.
“Bob’s craftsmanship at centering people experiencing food insecurity has been amazing to witness as he’s built and shepherded the Plentiful app to improve access and efficiency at food pantries,” observes Redstone Director Jason Blau.
Redstone Associate Arushi Desai remarks, “I appreciate how deeply Bob engages in collaborative discussion to truly co-create solutions, both with internal teams and clients. His extensive knowledge and genuine passion for human services is inspiring.” Passionate about driving strategic change, both within the firm and in client work, Redstone colleague Lucia Laudisio reflects, “I’ve watched Bob lead his teams with clarity, compassion, and humor using the same calm efficiency that he brings to all his client facing work.”
Sam Greenberg – A thoughtful leader
Sam Greenberg leads Redstone’s New York City office. He has led a range of efforts focused on strengthening American democracy and improving complex social service delivery systems. Greenberg is recognized for his skills in designing impactful solutions that anticipate both current and future needs and building public-private partnerships that lead government scale successful solutions.
A Redstone employee since 2015, he is a champion for professional growth and development within the firm and has invested significant time in mentoring and coaching junior staff.
Redstone Director Lee Green remarks, “Sam has an exceptional ability to navigate complex organizational and contextual dynamics to help clients implement impactful strategies. From high level mission and vision-setting to in-the-weeds implementation, Sam helps clients identify and anchor on their north star to get things done.”
